Tunisia-Electoral commission: The number of voters on the electoral roll surpasses 7 million

The executive director of the Independent High Authority for Elections Ridha Misaoui said that the number of voters on the electoral roll has reached 7.007.810 while the number of registers who are eligible to vote in the referendum has reached 6.940.576.

The potential number of non-registered voters is estimated at 2.420.635, he added.

He further pointed out that the number of registered after the automatic recoding has reached 9.428.445  while the number of registres in the electoral roll and eligible to participate in the referendum has reached 9.361.214.

This comes after the deliberations to examine the referendum agenda, the halt of partial municipal elections, present the plan for automatic and remote registration, and follow up on the progress of the preparatory process.
