Tunisia- Emergency doctors demand more security

Emergency physicians in Grand Tunis condemned the worsened conditions in which they operate in view of the presence of people accompanying patients in the areas designated for the treatment of Covid and others and in the hallways leading to these areas.

In a press release published Thursday, it is specified that these unsecured areas risk all care procedures, from professional confidence to the neutrality of medical decisions. Doctors similarly deplored the lack of security, particularly during this health crisis, and attacks targeting nursing staff.

The press release also condemned the administration’s lack of response to the founding of a secure service with armoured doors and a reinforced team of security agents able of ensuring the security of buildings and workers.
