The Ennahdha movement denounced the tenacity in continuing to exploit the affair of the two martyrs Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi and to invest in political crises, thus overstepping on Justice and State institutions.
In a statement published at the end of the meeting of its executive board in the presence of Rached Ghannouchi, the party said it was also confident in the ability of the President of the Republic to choose the most suitable person to form the government. Ennahdha affirms its openness to all democratic parties and groups, condemning calls for its exclusion from the political and governmental landscape “in the service of dubious foreign agendas”.
The movement says it has proposed Khayem Turki and Fadhel Abdelkefi, both of whom he deems capable of leading the government and meeting the economic and social challenges facing the country.
Ennahdha insists in his declaration on the urgency of completing the installation of constitutional bodies, first of which is the Constitutional Court. It calls on the components of political society for appeasement and dialogue as well as for attachment to the path of dialogue and the consolidation of stability and national unity.
On a completely different level, the movement expresses its pride in the commemoration of the Republic day, which constitutes a major step in the history of contemporary Tunisia. The nascent democratic experience and its political, economic and social gains are likely to consolidate the values of the Republic and the rule of law adds the same source.
In its declaration, the party paid tribute to the late Béji Caïd Essebsi on the occasion of the first anniversary of his death on July 25, 2019, welcoming the eminence of his role in the democratic transition and his commitment to ensuring dialogue and consensus prevail.
