The official spokesperson for the Tunis Court of First Instance, Mohamed Zitouna, confirmed today, Wednesday, April 24, 2024, that the investigating judge decided to extend the preventive detention of former president of the Tunisian Football Federation, Wadie Al-Jary for four additional months.
It should be mentioned that the investigating judge of the Court of First Instance of Tunis issued, last October, an arrest warrant against Wadie Al-Jary for charges related to exploitation by an agent public of his position to receive an unjustified advantage for himself or others, harming the administration, and breaking the regulations applicable to these operations to obtain a benefit or cause the aforementioned damage.
