Tunisia – Sultan of Oman addresses letter written to Kaïs Saïed

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, welcomed, today Wednesday, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Tunisia, Dr Hilal ben Abdullah Al-Sanani, who handed him over a handwritten letter addressed to the President of the Republic, Kais Saied, by the Sultan of Oman, Haitham ben Tarek.

On this occasion, the minister furthermore received a message from Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, containing his favourable reaction to the invitation to visit Tunisia and his readiness to carry it out as soon as possible.

During the meeting, the minister stressed the deep and strength of the fraternal and historical relations between Tunisia and the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the significance of raising bilateral cooperation to the level of distinguished relations which unite way to bring together the leaders of the two nations which meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.

During the meeting, the positive momentum registered by Tunisian-Omani relations during the recent period, and the momentum recorded in the pattern of exchanges of visits between senior officials of the two countries were welcomed, particularly following the visit made by the Minister to the Sultanate of Oman, on January 30 and 31, 2024 on the occasion of the 16th session of the Joint Committee.
