Tunisia-Faouzi Mehdi: “Right now we don’t need the private sector”

“Currently, we do not need to exploit the means of the private sector”, reassures the Minister of Health, Faouzi Mahdi.

Auditioned by the parliamentary committee on health and social affairs, the minister said the state is able to increase the capacity of Covid-19 patients in public hospitals.

Asked about the involvement of the private sector in the fight against the coronavirus and the lack of ICU beds, Mahdi said that at present the state does not need to appeal to the private sector and exploit its means to welcome Coronavirus patients.

“The Ministry of Health has so far been able to provide treatment,” he added yesterday, Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

Also, with the aim of relieving pressure on emergency services, home medical care will be provided to Covid-19 patients in addition to the establishment of adequate medical equipment, for the benefit of the medical staff. and paramedical of the first line, underline Faouzi Mahdi.
