A first suspected case of coronavirus was reported on Monday evening in Tataouine.
The man in his thirties, suffering from symptoms related to those of the disease, had presented himself at the regional hospital, where he had been placed in hygienic isolation in a room maintained for this purpose. Analyses carried out on the person had been carried to the Tunis Charles-Nicolle hospital, an official source at the regional hospital announced to the TAP agency.
The patient returned home with directions from the medical staff to take his medication, not to leave the house and to protect his environment while waiting for the completion of the tests.
According to the same source, the young man from Tataouine had made the same crossing as the first officially confirmed Tunisian case.
