Tunisia- Foreigner wounded in buffer zone after attempt to smuggle 11 kg of gold

A foreign national was wounded Wednesday in the buffer zone in Medenine governorate, during attempted smuggling of 11 kilograms of gold, thought to be worth approximately two million dinars.

Agents of the National Guard’s search and investigation brigade in Ben Guerdane took charge of investigating into the case.

Meanwhile, the smuggler is still being treated at Ben Guerdane Hospital.
