Crop production at the Gafsa Regional Agricultural Development Commission reported that the pistachio harvest in the governorate during this agricultural season is anticipated to reach 2,800 tons, an increase of 15% compared to the prior year.
According to the same source, this quantity represents half of the national production, adding that the pistachio harvest has reached a progress rate of 70%.
It should be mentioned that the area allocated to pistachio plantations in the governorate of Gafsa, the leading national producer, amounts to 20,000 he in Gafsa.
