The regional health directorate in Gafsa announced that a 79-year-old woman from the South Gafsa delegation passed away from COVID-19 on Sunday Consequently, the death tally rose to 21.
The same source announced the registration of 33 new cases of infection, taking the total of cases to 744 people, 374 of whom still carry the virus.
In addition, twelve patients are currently placed in the covid19 department of Houssine Bouzaine regional hospital in Gafsa.
