Tunisia-Hammami: “As long as Ennahdha is led by Ghannouchi, the movement will have no future”

Speaking to Shems FM,former Ennhdha member Imed Hammami addressed to the latest twists and turns on the political scene but especially Ennahdha.

Hammami once again fired red bullets on Rached Ghannouchi, considering that the movement “as led by the latter, stays without a future”. “I no longer witness myself reintegrating the Ennahdha party, nor the Islamist ideology,” he said, regarding that the events of July 25 were a chance to carry out the required reforms within Ennahdha.

Regarding the Sami Essifi case, the former minister said it was a victim of the state in the 1970s, though also of the bad governance in Ennahdha for which Rached Ghannouchi is accountable.

Last September, Imed Hammami assessed that Rached Ghannouchi had turned into a dictator within the party. “Gradually he turned into a full-fledged dictator,” he said.
