Director of the Institut Pasteur Hechmi Louzir and member of the scientific committee for the fight against the coronavirus talked to Mosaïque fm on the new Covid-19 variant “Eris” in the world.
He indicated that “the number of cases is growing but without danger compared to the other variants, evoking a low rate of infection whose state of health has required hospitalization”.
Louzir highlighted the importance of vaccination, particularly in the elderly suffering from chronic diseases, revealing the registration of asymptomatic cases.
He also called on citizens not to panic because the situation is not dangerous and does not require exceptional measures.
