Tunisia-June 12 deadline for registering nominations for Constitutional Court

The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) has chosen to hold a coordination rally with the government to fix the dates question-and-answer sessions with the government for the coming days.
These dates involve the plenary session programmed to evaluate the government’s first 100 days and to hear about its post-coronavirus pandemic programme at all levels.
The date of May 19 has been established for a hearing session with the Minister of Justice and June 12 has been set as the deadline for registering nominations for the Constitutional Court.
The Parliament’s Bureau has presented to the Finance Committee a draft law on the consent of the loan agreement approved on October 22, 2018, between the Tunisian Republic and the French Development Agency (AFD).
The deal involves the financing of the programme for the redevelopment of former urban centres in Tunis.
A bill revising Law 1994-36 on the literary and artistic property was further submitted by the Bureau to the committee on youth, education, culture and scientific research.
As part of its role in overseeing government action, the HPR Bureau submitted 55 written questions to the government.
The HPR Bureau also took a record of the accession of Lamia Jaidane to the Al-Mustakbal parliamentary bloc, Salma Maâlej to the democratic bloc and, Mehrezia Laâbidi to the Ennahdha bloc and the resignation of Mourad Hamzaoui from the Qalb Tounes bloc.
