The head of the paediatrics department at Ibn Al Jazzar hospital in Kairouan declared on Thursday the passing of a nine-year-old child after testing positive with the coronavirus.
He added that the service welcomes between 3 and 5 children with covid daily.
He called on citizens to be vigilant with their children and to avoid letting them mix with other ill or unhealthy children until the results of sequencing operations for the variant that is raging in Kairouan appear.
