The regional director of Health of Kasserine, Abdelghani Chaabani, disclosed that about 9 million dinars had been allocated by the Ministry of Health to obtain equipment for the Sbeitla regional hospital.
He emphasised that the sums allocated by the Ministry of Health are divided into 4 million dinars at the national level and 4.9 million dinars at the regional level.
It should be remarked that the Sbeitla regional hospital is a category “B” regional hospital, including a surgery department, an obstetrics and gynaecology department, a paediatrics department, an internal medicine department, a laboratory and radiology and outpatient consultations, with a total value estimated at approximately 50 million dinars, including construction works, logistics and medical equipment.
Work on the project had begun in May 2016 and was expected to be totally completed by May 2018, but for various reasons, this work was delayed.
