Tunisia-Kram: arrest of eight women suspected of belonging to a terrorist group

Eight women were apprehended on Friday, June 24, 2022, by units from the Carthage Security District, the Interior Ministry declared in a statement released on Saturday, June 25, 2022. The department stated that the arrest took place as part of a police intervention to end the violence that broke out in a Kram neighbourhood.

According to the Ministry of the Interior,the  first two suspects were captured following a raid on their house and then six others in the same house after the discovery of a secret room. The latter are wanted by the authorities on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist group.
