On Friday evening, the relief and rescue units of the Regional Civil Protection Administration, in collaboration with units of the army and the National Guard, interfered to evacuate 13 tourists of various nationalities aboard a bus tourist stuck between Wadi al-Khachab and Wadi al-Araj in the Ksar Ghilane area of the northern delegation of Douz.
This bus was blocked because of the rise in water levels in these two wadis following notable amounts of rainfall, according to what was reported to TAP by the regional director of civil protection, Seifeddine Dakhlawi.
Dakhlawi confirmed that all tourists were in good health and that a group of them was moved to the Ksar Ghilane region, while the others were evacuated to the town of Douz in coordination with the travel agency who is responsible for it.
