The lawyers launched this Friday, October 16, 2020, a general strike in all the courts of the Republic to declare their solidarity with their colleague involved in the case of the El Mourouj security station.
The lawyers challenge the head of the security station of attacking their colleague who came to defend one of her clients. They also fear that the manipulation of evidence will be planned.
The President of the Bar called for a sit-in outside the headquarters of the Tunis Court of First Instance followed by a demonstration. The Bar Council called on section presidents and council members to coordinate with magistrates and chambers of courts to postpone consideration of pending cases.
