Former presidential nominee, Lotfi Mraihi, communicated on December 15, 2020, his bewilderment at the paradox existing between the economic and social situation of Tunisians in recent years and the persistent popularity of the President of the Republic, Kais Saied.
Speaking to Radio Diwan FM,Mraihi estimated that Tunisians had elected as the head of the state “a psychopath” .
Mraihi, in the same context, accused Tunisians of being responsible for their current situation because, according to him, it is the mental poverty of the people, which push them to elect people whose speeches are devoid of meaning.
Remember that this is not the first time that the President of the Republic has been insulted. In fact, Al Karama coalition MP Seifeddine Makhlouf had previously published on his official page, a video sequence in which he addresses Kaïs Saïed, defying him to be able to do anything to hinder them, saying that ‘he no longer considered him as his president and that he was not deserving of his respect.
We then question, we normal citizens, how far this roll of diminishing state institutions will go and if the violence and the backtracking that the nation has known for a few years could not be read by the behaviour of politicians. who try to generate controversy, through careless acts and frequently vulgar words, without any concern for the interest of the people and the State.
