On strike for a month, the magistrates are still waiting for a “pressing ” processing of their case from the administration.
The Tunisian Magistrates Union (SMT) pressed the government to locate a solution to subdue the current situation which has hindered the work of the judicial service.
In a statement, it condemned the “lack of seriousness of the government in the treatment of solutions offered by the union”, calling for a dialogue to be reached in order to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
For its part, the Association of Tunisian Magistrates (AMT) called on Hichem Mechichi to “approve the final solutions so that justice finds its place in this challenging situation confronting the country and that the negative effects of this crisis are avoided”.
