Tunisia-Mahdia: 13 bodies of migrants retrieved after boat sank

Farid Ben Jha, spokesperson for the courts of Monastir and Mahdia revealed this Thursday that 13 bodies of illegal migrants who left the coasts of Jebeniana in Sfax were retrieved after the sinking of their boat 900 miles to the east of Chebba falling within the governorate of Mahdia.

Ben Jha clarified that there were 42 Sudanese migrants on board the boat, which was probably made of iron, according to two of the survivors. He noted  on the airwaves of a private radio, that these migrants had an asylum card from the UNHCR.
