A woman was killed and 16 others wounded after the apparent collapse of poultry slaughterhouse in Oued gharraf in the Ksour Essef delegation (Mahdia governorate), announced Head of the Taher Sfar University Hospital in Mahdia Salem Nebili.
The state health of the injured is steady, some of them are being discharged, he added.
“The fast transferal of the wounded by the local Civil Protection units powerfully aided in preventing complexities and helped the doctors’ effective interventions,” Nebili pointed out.
For his part, Spokesperson for Monastir and Mahdia courts Farid Ben Jha said the Public Prosecutor had commanded to open an inquiry.
The owner of the slaughterhouse is promptly accused of manslaughter and of causing injuries.
