Tunisia-Marouane Abbassi: The value of Libyan assets frozen in Tunisia is between 140 and 150 million dollars

The governor of the central bank, Marouane Abbassi announced yesterday that it was agreed to create a joint commission bringing together representatives of the customs office and the two central banks of Tunisia and Libya to obtain a resolution to the file of Libyan assets which has been frozen for 10 years.

He added in the same context during a hearing before the Parliament’s Administrative Reform Committee that assets that have been frozen since 2011 are said to be between $ 140 million and $ 150 million.

Marouane Abbassi further estimated that the treatment of this file will revive the confidence of economic operators.
