Mbarka Brahmi, widow of martyr Mohamed Brahmi announced on an Arab channel that the measures adopted by the President of the Republic on July 25 came in reply to the demands of the people who came out that day to express their rage against the corrupt system.
If any other president had taken the same steps, the people would have supported him just as much, she added, remarking that Saied had acted in accordance with the constitution and more particularly Article 80.
“I myself have called on all political parties to join this movement,” Mbarka Brahmi recalled.
Concerning the slowness in the process of establishing the government, she said that normally, this operation does not take so long as all the governments that have formed since October 2011 have been formed. on the basis of questionable consultations with lobbies and mafias.
