The authorities have said, said that the milk crisis was heading toward a solution. Today, professionals in the sector say the opposite warning against its worsening.
UTAP member Imam Bargougui said on Monday, December 12, 2022, that the crisis caused by the shortage of milk was going to deteriorate in the coming days.
Speaking on Shems FM, he clarified that today, the strategic national stock of milk only covers six days of consumption, warning against the collapse of the complete production system.
In this sense, he called on the government to find urgent solutions and back the farmer to get out of the crisis.
UTAP called for an immediate increase in the price of the litre of milk. This increase should not be less than 600 millimes/litre, estimated the executive office of the Tunisian Union of Agriculture and Fisheries (UTAP).
