The Ministry of Commerce reported today that 104,205 economic control visits have been conducted since the start of Ramadan during which 15,217 economic offences have been registered. 778 complaints were filed with regional Commerce offices linked to price transparency, product quality, and monopoly and speculative practices.
The same source pointed out that the economic control teams carried out visits to cafes, restaurants, pastry shops and ready-to-wear shops as Eid Al Fitr nears.
