The ministers were notified of their appointments moments before announcing the composition of the government, Democratic Current MP Mohamed Ammar told Shems FM.
The latter said he had received information confirming that the appointed head of government, Hichem Mechichi, telephoned several ministers after his meeting with President Kais Saied to inform them of their appointments so that they would not be surprised.
The same source considered that informing ministers of their appointments at the last minute is “problematic”.
“How can he inform a minister of his appointment at the 90min without consulting him or showing him his program and his vision.” he wondered.
