Tunisia-Mohamed Ben Ezzeddine passes away

The national press has today lost journalist, Mohamed Ben Ezzeddine the former CEO of the agency Tunis-Afrique-Presse (TAP).

Born December 21, 1946, in Tunis, Mohamed Ben Ezzeddine possesses a license in Modern Letters from the University of Bordeaux (France).

He started his professional career in 1974 as a journalist at the TAP agency, before being named head of the Paris office from 1979 to 1982.

He was designated, in 1986, in charge of the mission in the office of the Minister of Information, then, in 1990, director of the editorial staff and national documentation at TAP.

In 1996, Ben Ezzeddine was named Chairman and CEO of SNIP (La Presse / Assahafa).

From March 2000 to August 2007, he served as President and CEO of the TAP agency.

On August 15, 2007, the deceased was appointed to the post of Director General of Information at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the conclusion of his career, Mohamed Ben Ezzeddine was decorated with the insignia of a Knight of the Order of the Republic and the insignia of the Order of National Merit in the cultural sector.
