According to official statistics released by the Minister of Tourism Mohamed Moez Belhassine, tourist receipts surpassed more than 3.3 billion dinars until the end of July 2023, therefore registering a 55% increase compared to the past year.
On the sidelines of an unannounced visit to certain numbers of tourist establishments in the governorate of Monastir, he stated that the figures exceeded those of 2019, recording an upsurge of 28%.
The minister again revealed that Tunisia had welcomed more than 5 million tourists until the end of July 2023, a growth of 70% compared to 2022, adding that these figures are close to those recorded in 2019, He explained that “The numbers are satisfactory so far. Reservations continue even beyond the summer season”.
