The Monastir Court of First Instance has decided to free the young man detained during the night protests and tortured by internal security agents while he was in police custody.
Accused of theft, the young man was captured and then brutally tortured, which led to the removal of one of his testicles.
The court, therefore, decided to continue the trial while keeping the accused at liberty, in accordance with articles 258 and 264 of the Criminal Code.
