Tunisia-Mustapha Ben Jaâfar warns against public anger

Former president of the National Constituent Assembly, Mustapha Ben Jaâfar, alerted of the economic and social situation and has, in this sense, warned against public anger in Tunisia.

“President Kais Saied has selected the way of the unique opinion to pen and adopt the constitution of the New Republic, despite all the calls to open the door to dialogue and participation to the legal text (…) The low participation in the referendum is primarily the outcome of what the nation has suffered for years in terms of degrading political and partisan life, which has led to the estrangement of public affairs citizens and their Interiorization of a negative image of political action that puts everyone in the same basket (…).
