Head of the presidential cabinet, Nadia Akacha denied any tension or rupture between the presidency of the republic and the parliament.
Speaking at a hearing with the Committee on Rights and Freedoms in parliament, she stressed that the gates of Carthage palace are open to MPs, adding that the head of the state receives written requests to meet with a number of deputies, the latter are met according to his work program.
The same source pointed out that that the presidency is open to the House of People Representatives, explaining that the current situation necessitates unity and setting up a dialogue between the legislative authority and the Presidency of the Republic
