The Embassy of the Netherlands in Tunisia published an announcement this Thursday, November 12, 2020, to notify its nationals not to make “unnecessary” journeys to Tunisia. Due to the increase in the number of coronavirus infections, Tunisia has been excluded from the list of safe countries in the EU.
“Any unnecessary travel (including holidays) is not recommended. Tunisia currently does not allow travellers from the Netherlands to enter unless they have a valid residence permit for Tunisia. Because the number of coronavirus infections has grown, the country is no longer on the EU’s list of safe countries. This is why you will be quarantined at home for 10 days after you return from that country to the Netherlands, ”the statement read.
