Hundreds of young people, living in the town of Agareb, took to the roads this evening to oppose the decision to reopen the El Guenna landfill near their locality.
The demonstrators blocked the roads with stones and paved the police cars with stones.
Police reinforcements landed at the scene, and officers employed tear gas in an attempt to disperse the protesters.
