Speaking yesterday on private radio, the President of the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) Nouri Lajmi spoke on the difficulties confronting reporters and professionals in the sector.
Pointing out the lack of a global vision to better organize the media landscape, the speaker indicated that the HAICA is still awaiting the development of new legislative texts to substitute Decrees 115 and 116. In the same context, he concentrated on the necessity to respect and secure the rights of journalists as well as the freedom of the press.
