The decision was anticipated, Tunisia will lift the subsidy applied to hydrocarbons from 2026. It was the Minister of Finance Sihem Namsia who announced this Friday, October 28.
In this context, she clarifies that real prices will be applied from this year, in accordance with the accord signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Speaking on the sidelines of a meeting with the Governor of the Central Bank and the Minister of Economy, she added that an orientation program for the subsidy will be presented by the ending of the year.
