According to ONAGRI, an analysis of the development of the producer price of live broiler chicken in November 2023 reveals a downward trend with slight fluctuations throughout the month.
The price fluctuated between a maximum of 5221 millimes/kg recorded on 04/11/2023 and a minimum of 4613 millimes/kg on 19/11/2023. Compared to the previous month, prices dropped in November, resulting in an average price decrease of 15.7% or 4884.8 millimes/kg compared to 5792.4 millimes/kg in October 2023.
By region, the average producer price in the North (4906.1 millimes/kg) was 1.5% higher than that in the Center and 0.8% higher than that in the South. The production cost of broiler chicken remained constant in November 2023 compared to October 2023 (4405 millimes/kg).
Eggs:
The producer price of eggs for consumption exhibited two phases in November 2023. From November 1, 2023, to November 22, 2023, the price practically stagnated, averaging 333.5 millimes/unit. During the rest of the month, the price experienced a downward trend, closing the month at 318.2 millimes/unit.
The rate of variation between the maximum of the month (333.9 millimes/unit on 04/11/2023) and the minimum of the month (318.2 millimes/unit on 30/11/2023) amounts to 4.9%.
The monthly average dropped by 1% compared to October 2023 (329.7 millimes/unit compared to 333.2 millimes/unit). By region, the average producer price in the North (331.8 millimes/unit) was 1.0% higher than that in the South and 0.7% higher than that in the Center.
The cost of producing eggs for consumption remained constant in November 2023 compared to October 2023 (258.6 millimes/unit).
