Regional health director of Kairouan, Hamdi Hadhri said Wednesday, September 2 that a 71-year-old woman who recently died in the rural region of Kasr Lamsa in Oueslatia has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The results of the analyzes were announced after her burial. This means that no sanitary measures were taken during the burial.
Hamdi Hadhri stressed that the regional health directorate will take exceptional health measures in the region and that all people who were in contact with the deceased woman will be tested for the coronavirus.
Also, the headquarters of the municipality of Oueslatia will be closed temporarily for disinfection.
