The Parliament started the discussion of the state budget draft 2024 this Saturday, starting with the Parliament budget. The budget allocated to parliament contained figures that did not fail to surprise even the deputies themselves.
During his speech, MP Abdel Kader Bin Zineb criticized the granting of a budget estimated at around “one billion” to fund fuel for council agents, while the State is talking about austerity in spending, as well as the budget worth 100 thousand dinars planned for the purchase of newspapers, without the deputies seeing the colour, was allocated, he added.
Ben Zineb called for a review of the Council’s internal regulations and for reciprocal treatment between the President of the Council and the deputies, in terms of privileges.
