Tunisia-Parliament to elect members of the Constitutional Court on April 8

Elections for members of the Constitutional Court will take place on April 8, the Parliament’s office announced in a statement on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

The Constitutional Court should have been in place since 2015, under the provisions of the Constitution which stipulates its founding within one year after the 2014 elections.

This Court is composed of twelve members: four elected by Parliament, four designated by the President of the Republic and four others chosen by the Superior Council of the Judiciary.
