Tunisia-PM Elyes Fakhfakh Talks with French counterpart

Prime Minister Elyès Fakhfakh held a phone conversation with French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe concerning bilateral collaboration and the common will to strengthen them in these exceptional conditions that the world is undergoing in the face of the spread of COVID-19.

The meeting also presented a chance to examine approaches to extend international solidarity and cooperation to deal better with the virus.

The two sides swapped views on devices for coordination and exchange of expertise to fight the pandemic and restrict its economic and social consequences on both peoples. Importance was also placed on ways of overcoming the impact of this health situation on trade and economic exchanges between the two countries in the post-COVID period.

The two officials asserted the shared interest to develop the long-standing cooperation relations merging Tunisia and France and the common determination to broaden them to embrace new areas and therefore obtain a better future for bilateral cooperation.

Moreover, the Prime Minister asked about the situation of Tunisians residing in France, among administrators, students and employees.

He repeated the call to coordinate efforts to provide them with the necessary care.
