Speaking to the nation in a televised speech, prime minister Hichem Mechichi declared a set of new measures to fight COVID-19. The measures will take effect for two weeks as of today.
The measures include the following:
- Masks are mandatory for all citizens in all public spaces.
- reducing working hours and applying one Shift System expect vital sectors
- Banning all kinds of demonstrations and public and private celebrations.
- The strict application of health protocols in all educational spaces and institutions.
Approval of COVID-19 as an occupational disease - Applying regional quarantine in some areas and imposing curfews according to the epidemiological situation.
- Ensuring the continuity of work in educational institutions while applying health protocols
