Tunisia-President Kais Saied exchanges Eid Al Fitr congratulations with Turkey’s Erdogan

President Kais Saied received a call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to exchange congratulations on Eid al-Fitr.

The two sides addressed bilateral relations and regional issues as well as cooperation in the fight against COVID-19. The head of the state extended his gratitude for aid granted by Tukey to Tunisia.

On the other hand, the President of the Republic discussed the Palestinian cause, emphasising the need for responses at the level of the nationhood ‘s expectations, rather than simply formative responses in the face of the continual chomping of the Palestinian territories under this situation. He further noted that the solution in Libya must be under international legitimacy.

He reminded that Tunisia is one of the countries that is most affected by the current situation on all levels. He also renewed his reminder that the Libyan issue is one of the first concerns for Tunisians because Tunisia and Libya are one people.
