Tunisia-President Kais Saied Meets New Sultan of Oman ,expresses condolences over passing of Qaboos

President Kais Saied has held discussions with the new Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, in the Omani capital of Muscat.

The head of state who is in Oman to attend a memorial ceremony held for the late Sultan Qaboos offered condolences over the passing of the late  Sultan. Saied further extended his deepest condolences on behalf of the Tunisian nation to new Soltan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said and his family, expressing his most sincere sympathies in this great affliction while asking God for his soul to rest in peace and grant the people of Oman patience and fortitude.

Haitham bin Tariq al-Said was chosen on Saturday as Sultan of Oman to succeed the Sultan Qaboos who passed away on Friday evening, at the age of 79, after a period of rule for almost half a century.
