Speaking to the new interim Minister of Health Mohamed Trabelsi, President of the Republic Kais Saied emphasised that the general state of public health establishments falls short.
The single service that works in some hospitals in the snack bar, he said, adding that he had seen with his own eyes a snake at the Rabta hospital.
Before public health was the pride of the Tunisian state, however, some parties preferred to destroy it so that it gave way to private clinics. However, the latter is too costly for most Tunisians, he said.
He further said that some parties invest in the misfortunes of the people to serve their political interests.
