President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (French: ISIE) president Nabil Baffoun announced voting process in the second qualifying round of the presidential elections began at 8:00 am under ordinary circumstances and will run until 6:00 pm throughout the country, except in 252 polling stations where voters were fixed to cast their ballots as of 10:00 am for logistical causes.
Baffoun said the ISIE installed 13,000 polling stations in 4,567 polling centres over the country and 384 polling stations in 303 polling centres in 6 constituencies abroad.
The number of voters reached 7, 074, 566 at home and overseas, 49% of whom are women. Above 18, 000 civil society observers, including 700 foreign observers, were stationed.
