President of the Republic, Kais Saied decided, on Thursday, September 8, 2022, to give a special presidential pardon in favour of 1621 prisoners, and this during the beginning of the school year.
According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, 293 detainees among the pardoned will profit from a release, the others will benefit from a reduced sentence.
