The criminal chamber of the Court of First Instance of Tunis 2, issued, this Monday, December 20, 2021, two arrest warrants against the delegate of Sijoumi and another accused who was in a state of liberty, after the review of the case of embezzlement and in-kind aid from the Qatar Charity Association.
A representative of the Association attended the trial and requested for its postponement, while defence attorneys requested the release of the arrested defendants, including a former adviser to the President of the Republic. The Tribunal decided to defer consideration of the case to January 3 and rejected the accused’s request for release.
