The doctors of the Rabta hospital will give remote consultations through the Tobba.tn platform before next weekend.
Rabta Hospital Director, Mongi Khemiri said that patients treated at the hospital will be capable to catch up on their files and make appointments with their doctors through a division devoted to the hospital on this platform.
Doctors will provide appointments from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The platform had given a section to the hospital for 6 months.
In a statement to the TAP agency, founder and CEO of Tobba.tn, Imed El Abed affirmed that this platform operational since last February resolved to dedicate a section for online consultations to implement the necessary support to people suffering and incapable to travel because of the measures taken against the spread of Coronavirus.
“This new section started with 4 volunteer doctors including a surgeon and remains public to all specialists who want to join it to participate, each in his position, to the efforts of the State in the fight against this virus,” explained Elabed.
We have submitted to the Ministry of Health to dedicate a section to hospitals or to generate a similar platform for online consultations by public sector doctors,” he added. This platform is a 100% Tunisian product, he emphasised.
He added that given the significance of medical confidentiality in any treatment, tobba.tn has a very high level of security for the protection of health data. It is hosted in the first Tunisian data centre doubly certified ISO27001 and PCI-DSS”.
The user of this platform has 4 areas: access to teleconsultations, access to the management of medical records, access to the social area and access to the health information area (SantéLyna).
