The committee learnt about the main lines of the national strategy of targeted lockdown that will be implemented soon and discussed ways to smooth the difficulties of repatriating Tunisians stranded abroad and the conditions of their isolation once back in Tunisia.

The meeting, held with the participation via videoconference of the governors, provided an opportunity to learn about developments in the various regions and preparations for the month of Ramadan in terms of market supply.

In this regard, the need to combat price increases and to strengthen the control of distribution channels was stressed.

Chairing the meeting, Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh emphasised the importance of the roles of delegates, Omdas and presidents of municipal councils in the supervision of low-income groups, commending their contribution to the state efforts.
